Timestamps
To quote directly from an (audio)visual work (e.g., an audiobook, YouTube video, TED Talk, podcast episode), provide a time stamp from the beginning of the quotation.
- Hours/minutes/seconds follows the format H:MM:SS
- Minutes/seconds follows the format MM:SS
- Where you are only using seconds (e.g., for a short clip), use a zero at the front, e.g., 0:55 for 55 seconds.
In the example below, 1:07:20 refers to 1 hour 7 minutes 20 seconds into the webinar, where the quote we want starts.
