What you need to know first

Accessing library databases for the InfoSkills test

If InfoSkills is part of your program, you’ll need to take the InfoSkills test, which requires using library databases. To access these databases and complete the test questions, you need to use EZproxy links available in the Database list on the Tilburg University library website.

These are the only links that will give you full-text access, because they identify you as a TiU student or staff member after you log in with your university credentials. For more information on EZproxy, see the library's EZproxy page.

Planning to take the InfoSkills test on campus? In that case, you don’t have to use the EZproxy links – on-campus access usually works automatically.

Database availability & Support hours

Many of the databases required for the test come from external providers, so their availability cannot be 100% guaranteed. To avoid any issues, we recommend starting early and taking the test during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00). Support is available only during these times, so if you encounter any problems, you can contact us at infoskills@tilburguniversity.edu.
