Where & when can I take the test?

You can take the test anywhere you want, during the date range or on the date/time specified below.

Just make sure that you are officially enrolled at Tilburg University.

Are you registered for a course listed in bold on the schedule?

Then you have two chances (first sit and resit) to pass the test. If you pass the test in the first sit, you don't have to take the test again in the resit.

Maximum test time: 3 hours
The test will be open for 3 hours. During the test, the remaining time is displayed. Finish your test on time! If you don't, the test will close automatically and your attempt will be invalid.

About the test

  • Preferred browser: Chrome.
  • No proctoring.
  • There are 25 questions (5 for each module).
  • Multiple question types.
  • Total points to be earned: 64.
  • Passing mark: 5,5 (=48 points).
  • You can pause your test at any time and log back in later if necessary. See the TestVision manual below.

Support during office hours
Please keep in mind that email support is only available during office hours, which are 9.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m. on business days.

Thousands of students will complete the InfoSkills tutorial in the fall. We will be able to help you more quickly if you provide the following:

  • your full name and TilburgU username (e.g., u123456);
  • the name of your School (TiSEM) and the course with an InfoSkills component you're taking;
  • a clear explanation of your problem.

Please note Library staff at the Library's service desk can't answer questions about InfoSkills.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Why is there no test available for me?
    Your enrollment as a student was most likely incomplete until later in September. We can add you to the test manually (before the deadline).
  2. I already passed the InfoSkills test. Can I get an exemption?
    The InfoSkills team cannot decide that. However, we can provide you with a proof of passing. Send it to your lecturer and ask for an exemption.
