Jaarlijks verschijnen meer dan honderd proefschriften van onderzoekers van Tilburg University. Van elk proefschrift wordt een digitale versie opgenomen in de Tilburg University Research Portal. Een gedrukt exemplaar wordt opgenomen in de bibliotheekcollectie.
Lange tijd stonden de proefschriften verspreid over de bibliotheek, bij verschillende collecties en in het boekenmagazijn. Sinds april staan alle proefschriften op de tweede verdieping. In lage kasten rond de centrale trap staan de boeken bij elkaar, per faculteit van promotie. Alle proefschriften zijn hier terug te vinden, vanaf de allereerste uit 1938 tot aan de meest recente.
In WorldCat Discovery vind je alle gedrukte proefschriften en hun locaties. Je kunt natuurlijk ook gewoon alle titels komen bekijken in de bibliotheek. De exemplaren zijn alleen in de bibliotheek te gebruiken, je kunt ze niet lenen. Ben je niet in de gelegenheid om binnenkort de bibliotheek te bezoeken of wil je een titel thuis lezen? Kijk dan in de Tilburg University Research Portal voor de digitale versies. Ook die gaan terug tot het eerste proefschrift.
Over one hundred dissertations by Tilburg University researchers are published each year. A digital version of each dissertation is included in the Tilburg University Research Portal. A printed copy is included in the library collection.
For a long time, the dissertations were scattered around the library, in different collections and in our depot storage. Since April, all dissertations are placed together on the second floor. In low cabinets around the central staircase the books are grouped together, per School. All dissertations can be found here, from the very first one published in 1938 to the most recent one.
WorldCat Discovery contains information about all printed dissertations and their locations. Of course, you can also just come and see all the titles in the library. The copies can only be used in the library, you cannot borrow them. Are you not able to visit the library any time soon or do you want to read a dissertation at home? Then check the Tilburg University Research Portal for the digital versions. These also go back to the first dissertation.
