Het is nu mogelijk om in je bibliotheekaccount in WorldCat Discovery een lijst bij te houden van geleende boeken die je hebt teruggebracht. Handig als je later niet meer weet wat dat ene interessante boek was dat je maanden geleden eens hebt gelezen.
De leengeschiedenis toont de belangrijkste metadata van elk boek (titel, auteur, vindplaats) en de datum van inleveren. De geschiedenis is alleen zichtbaar voor jouzelf. Bibliotheekmedewerkers hebben geen toegang tot de lijst en je kunt het overzicht niet delen met anderen.
Het activeren van de geschiedenis is op basis van opt-in, je moet dit zelf aanzetten. Ga naar Mijn Account in WorldCat Discovery, het tabblad Profiel en vink daar aan Mijn leenhistorie bijhouden. Vanaf dat moment wordt in het tabblad Leenhistorie een lijst bijgehouden van boeken die je inlevert. Eerder ingeleverde boeken zijn niet zichtbaar. De geschiedenis wordt maximaal vijf jaar bewaard. Zodra je de optie Mijn leenhistorie bijhouden weer uitvinkt worden de complete leenhistorie direct verwijderd uit je account. Het is niet mogelijk om individuele titels uit het overzicht te verwijderen.
Your library account in WorldCat Discovery now lets you keep a list of books that you borrowed and returned. This can be useful when you cannot remember the title of that one book that was so interesting when you read it months ago.
The borrowing history shows the most important metadata of each book (title, author, call number) and the date it was returned. This history is only visible to you. Library staff cannot access the list and there is no way for you to share the list with other people.
Activation of this option is opt-in, you have to select this option yourself. Go to My Account in WorldCat Discovery, find the tab Profile and turn on Enable my borrowing history. From this moment on the tab Borrowing history will show all books that you return. Books you returned previously are not listed. The history is saved for a maximum period of five years. As soon as you turn off the Enable my borrowing history option, the borrowing history is immediately removed from your account. You cannot remove individual titles from the overview.
