No free open access publishing in Springer journals from Fall 2021

by Marijke van der Ploeg on 2021-07-26T16:59:41+02:00 in Open Access, Publishing | 0 Comments

Because of the Springer Read and Publish agreement, also called the open access deal, corresponding authors from Dutch universities can publish open access in Springer journals at no cost to the author; the APCs are paid by the universities. In this Springer deal, it is agreed that each year there is a maximum number of articles that can be published for free. The maximum for 2021 will probably be reached in October.

The VSNU published a news item about reaching the quota and the possibilities of making your article open access in another way.
